Thư chúc Tết của một ng bạn từ nơi xa, trưởng nhóm VM2N, cùng kết nối trong các hoạt động từ thiện
Dear Friends
Once again another Tet,
A good –and God—time to take stock, reflex and charter a course for another 365 days to come.
We make choices everyday
We have chosen one that has been with us all for sometimes now
We being just a bunch of strangers spanning the globe
Having become friends and companions sharing a little road, a little journey
Coming together to bridge, to connect, to care and to bring help, as best we know how or can
I’m sure you know what I mean.
This Vietnamese New Year card is dedicated to all our little friends in Vietnam
And to each and everyone of you, very dear to me by all accounts
Why an Orchid, you might ask
Well, an orchid flower lasts very long, needs something to attach itself to
To live, to survive and maybe to strive too
Like us all needing a little pull, a gentle push, now and then, to stand up, walk or run on our own
Orchids, just like our little friends, grab at anything that can hold and sustain them
Though exotic, fragile, maybe graceful and enduring
Though some says that they represent love, luxury, beauty and strength too
Or wild, unhomely, begging for love and favours, wanting to be accepted
I don’t know who is right, except that all of us
Hold within ourselves Wishes, Dreams and Hopes
To be strong, beautiful and healthy living things on our little planet
Just like our little friends whose path we’ve crossed
Just like a bruised orchid we bring home to care and nurture...
Thank you all for allowing me and my tons of cyber-communications, days and nights,
To be a part of your life, our life and our little friends’ lives.
A Wild Orchid by Lanie Alexandria Costeas 3-18-92
We are all flowers in the garden of the world.
Some of us are daisys dainty and bright.
Some of us are poppys, with sweet contagious laughter.
If there was a flower for you,
Youd be a wild orchid,
So full of life,colors alive,
Sprinkled with scarlett and purple,
Explosions of colors racing through your petals.
I was walking in a garden,
Looking for a flower with a soul like yours,
A free spirit,so intense and vivid.
There were many flowers,
The tulips were always telling me to stand up straight
and not open up too much.
The violets were deep but when watered with love closed up.
The rose was too perfect in every aspect.
Then there was you so unique and wild.
A orchid with a soul different from them all
different to touch,to hold,to look at.
You took my wild colorful side, and let it live.
Set me free with your fire
I dream of finding you again,
discovering you again,
Theres far to many daisys in life.
